Privacy Policy
GigMint (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a mobile application and related services to help musicians manage gigs, venues, contacts, and related information. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use the GigMint mobile app (the “App”) and our marketing website (the “Site”) at our discretion.
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App or Site. We may update this policy from time to time; the “Effective date” above will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you provide
When you create an account or use the App, you may provide or generate data such as:
- Account information (for example, email address and authentication identifiers).
- Profile and professional details you choose to enter (name, phone, instrument, address, photos, etc.).
- Gig-related data you save (dates, venues, players, notes, payments, expenses, exports, and similar).
- Messages or requests you send to us (for example, via email).
1.2 Information collected automatically
Depending on your device settings and how you use the App, certain information may be collected automatically, such as:
- Device and app data: general device or OS type, app version, and diagnostic or crash information as provided by platform or third-party SDKs we use to operate the App.
- Location: if you grant permission, the App may access device location to support features such as address or place search on your device. You can disable location in your device settings; some features may not work without it.
1.3 Third-party services
The App uses service providers to host data, authenticate users, deliver notifications, and enable maps or place search. These providers may process information on our behalf under their terms and privacy policies, including:
- Google Firebase / Google Cloud (for example, authentication, database storage, and cloud messaging for push notifications). See Google’s privacy documentation for how Google handles data.
- Google Places / Maps Platform (when enabled): text you enter for venue or address search may be sent to Google to return suggestions. Use of that feature is subject to Google’s applicable terms and policies.
- Apple and Google app stores for distribution, updates, and in-app purchases or subscriptions, as applicable. Those platforms process payment and account data according to their policies.
We do not sell your personal information as a line item in the traditional “sale of personal data” sense.
2. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App and its features.
- Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- Store and sync your gig, venue, and related data across your devices.
- Send transactional or service-related communications (for example, push notifications you opt into).
- Respond to your inquiries and provide support.
- Comply with law, enforce our terms, and protect rights and safety.
3. How we share information
We may share information:
- With service providers who assist us (hosting, authentication, messaging, maps), only as needed for them to perform services for us.
- With other users when you use features that intentionally share data (for example, inviting or connecting with other musicians, or sharing gig-related information as designed in the App).
- For legal reasons if we believe disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of GigMint, our users, or others.
- In connection with a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality and use restrictions where applicable.
4. Data retention
We retain your account and App content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may delete content or your account where the App provides that option; residual copies may persist for a limited time in backups. We may retain certain information where required by law or legitimate business needs (for example, fraud prevention or accounting).
5. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, such as:
- Accessing, correcting, or deleting certain data through the App or by contacting us.
- Restricting or objecting to certain processing, where applicable by law.
- Portability of certain data, where applicable.
- Withdrawing consent where processing is based on consent (for example, turning off location or notifications in device settings).
To exercise rights or ask questions, contact us at GigMint850@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
7. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
8. International users
If you access the App from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have data protection laws that differ from your country.
9. Marketing website
The Site is primarily informational. It may use minimal technical data (for example, standard server or hosting logs) and any analytics or fonts loaded by third parties as implemented from time to time. The App may collect more detailed information as described above.
